The Best Job
I just finished putting my makeup on and was ready to head out the door for a night out sans kids when I happened upon this video. Thanks to Pole to Soul blog, the floodgates opened and I had black tears dripping into my wrinkles.
The best job? The best, the worst, the most fulfilling, the most anguishing, the slowest and the fastest career there is. Us women wound’t have it any other way. How would the world survive without us?

I’ve said it before – and will keep shouting it from the roof tops. All moms are my heroes.
I am a proud, very happy and fulfilled “Autie Kiki”, and the floodgates washed over me as well. I can’t imagine how it must feel for moms to see this! And to be there – cheering their little babies on at the Olympics? I can only assume it’s Magical.
So happy you are sharing this.
Every day should be Mother’s Day. Maybe in a way, it already is.
xxoo
That is so funny, I just sent you a message thanking you for your continual inspiration! What would I do without you? xo L
I have tears streaming down my face. We’ve been up all summer 3x a week and at a gym north of the river by 7:30am because my little peanut has big dreams.
One wise grandmother told me when I was pregnant with Andrew, get ready for your ‘teacher’ to come, and get ready for the million and one sacrifices you will have to make. It will all be worth it. =)
Thanks for sharing, lovely lovely…just like you.
“Get ready for your teacher to come” I love that. I bet your grandmother was amazing :)
Absolutely love it! Sitting here crying like emotional wreck! The really showed the whole journey. Awesome.
I know! Amazing. Are you enjoying the Olympics as much as I am?
I love the Olympics! The kids arent liking them bec I sit and watch tv and don’t want to be bothered. :). Hope you have a great last few weeks Of summer.
Ha! Me too! Kids are tired of me telling them to be quiet!
For the love…
I’m having one of those days and I came to your blog to laugh my arse off…which I did with your gazpacho soup post (and it looks amazing – we just did one at CN with chunks of avocado in it – turns out the avocados don’t turn when they’re submerged in soup). Anyway, this one totally did me in.
Thinking of you. Would love to get together again once the kiddos are back in school.
Hugs.
I was just thinking about you! It’s been too long! Counting down the days until school starts…then coffee is a must :)
